Circuit Bent Speak & Read - "Savory Strawberry"
demo: https://youtu.be/C-70Od0L5ME
This vintage Texas Instruments Speak And Read has been transformed into truly one-of-a-kind a sonic MONSTER!
Without any of the modifications active, the device operates just as it should, providing hours of phonetic and educational fun. But not for long!
All of the new features are housed in a control panel made of transparent UV-cured resin, making the components visible by the internal LED’s glow.
MODS INCLUDE:
-SPEED CONTROL + toggle switch - let’s you take the device from high-pitched manic chirps down to distorted, gravely crunch
-4x glitch switches that confuse the device in unique ways, stretching, distorting, and scrambling words and syllables into frenzies of glitched nonsense
-’HOLD’ button - when pressed, any playing sound ‘freezes’ that tone for as long as the button is pressed
-’LATCH’ switch - holds onto the ‘frozen’ tone
-’GRIP’ knob - sculpts that delicious tone
-metal ‘body contacts’ that bend the pitch and distort the sound when touched
-Runs on a single 9v battery instead of 4 C batteries
-¼” output
With one-of-a-kind 3d-printed knobs!
